Cohasset family Fun Day, The Cohasset Village Holiday Stroll, and The Farmer’s Market are our three most well known events. But, the Chamber can also be found welcoming triathletes to town before the Cohasset Tri and partnering with other groups around town for support and marketing.
Santa arrives by firetruck to Cohasset Common for the tree lighting ceremony. Hay rides, victorian carolers, ice sculptures, live music, window models, sips and savors, cookie decorating, wine and cheese, kids crafts and more!

Including harbor tours, cardboard boat derby race, boat parade, junior regatta, CYC, CSC and CSCR Open Houses with historical artifacts for viewing, activity stations, cookout, music and colors of the guard to close out this special day. Cohasset 250 Weekend Celebration will begin with Yoga on the common and continue with a community parade with an afternoon of food, music and a giant birthday cake for the entire family.

South Shore Art Center Arts Festival celebrates its 61st year and showcases craft and fine artists from New England and beyond. In addition to almost one hundred juried exhibitor booths, the Arts Festival features a juried art exhibition and members’ show, live music performances, artist demonstrations, children’s art activities and a young artist exhibition.
The Arts Festival draws over 9,000 visitors from the Greater Boston region to historic, oceanside Cohasset Common.
About South Shore Art Center
A non-profit organization formed in 1954, South Shore Art Center is dedicated to enriching the communities south of Boston by fostering an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions and education. In addition to a nationally-recognized exhibition program, the Art Center offers courses and workshops for adults and children, and enrichment programs to area schools.

The seventh annual Lobster Trap Christmas Tree is coming soon to Cohasset Harbor. Mark your calendar. The South Shore Community Center Invites Families & Friends To The 25th Annual Jingle Bell Walk Friday, November 29, 2019. It is great way to kick off the holiday on Black Friday starting a 2pm.
The festivities begin when Santa and Mrs. Claus and the elves arrive by boat at Cohasset Harbor (off Border Street) at 2PM. Santa will pass out jingle bells and everyone will follow Santa as he rides to the SSCC by hayride escorted by the Cohasset Fire Truck. At 2:30PM all gathered will sing holiday songs accompanied by the Rusty Skippers Band. Cookies and hot chocolate, punch & coffee will be served in the Gym. Between 3:00 and 4:00 PM there will be open bowling and Santa’s Village where children can design their own decoration to be taken home and Big Ryan will entertain the children with his Tall Tales.. Santa will be available for photographs in the Senior Front Room. Don’t forget to bring your cameras as photographs will not be taken for sale.
Enjoy a hayride around Cohasset Common. (Hayrides from 3-4PM sponsored by our generous Patrons, Sponsors & Friends of the Center.) Please take the time to stroll the Cohasset Village and visit our local Merchants.

As William Bradford stated nearly 400 years ago, that “One small candle may light a thousand”, Cohasset Chamber of Commerce will be lighting up the village in conjunction with a can drive to benefit the Cohasset Food Pantry in the true spirit of the holidays!
This year, we hope to “Light up the Village” as well as lighting up the lives of those in need. Cans from the drive will be used to weight the luminary bags that will be set up all over the Cohasset Green fountain area and around the village just before this years tree lighting ceremony and Village Stroll on December 7th!
Donations may be dropped off at select locations throughout Cohasset Village.
