The state of the economy has dominated the news these past months. We have our morning coffee listening to reports on more layoffs, gloomy forecasts, stock market fluctuations, bailouts, etc., only to return from work in the evening to hear more of the same. Our economy is going through a terrible period and everybody is worried, and rightfully so. These are uncharted waters, but, 90% of America is still employed, still carrying on with their daily routines, making adjustments but, still contributing to American economy.  We all need to remain optimistic that things will improve over time.  For the small business owner, these times are most challenging.
